Launch “Choose. Use. Circulate.” Website
Unicharm Corporation (CEO & President: Mr. Takahisa Takahara) is pleased to announce the launch of the website, “Choose. Use. Circulate.”, which provides consumers with perspectives that they can easily incorporate into their daily lives.
About “Choose. Use. Circulate.” Website
・”Choose” is about selecting items that have carbon-neutral packaging and wrapping materials, ensuring a more sustainable choice.
・”Use” is about encouraging to reduce waste by using reusable pads with their regular paper pants and sanitary products.
・”Circulate” is about our recycling initiative called “RefF”*, where used paper pants are collected and recycled into new materials instead of being labeled as waste.
*RefF is the acronym for “Recycle for the Future”, an initiative of our commitment to contribute to a sustainable society and promote the idea of “not discarding used paper pants for a better future”.
Background of launching the website
Based on our "Environmental Goals 2030" announced in May 2020 and our medium to long-term ESG goals "Kyo-sei Life Vision 2030" announced in October of the same year, we are actively engaged in various activities to achieve a sustainable society. In Japan, we have been introducing our recycling initiative for used paper pants, "RefF", through the dedicated website "RefF Special Site" on note. We have also implemented diverse initiatives and have seen positive results. Furthermore, we actively conduct activities tailored to the characteristics and situations of each country overseas.
Therefore, in conjunction with the "World Environment Day" on June 5th, we have decided to launch the website "Choose. Use. Circulate." with the aim of promoting awareness of Unicharm Group's domestic and international environmental initiatives. We hope to walk together with all of you towards environmental sustainability.
