Unicharm Thailand Receives the Gold Star Award for Two Consecutive Years

Unicharm Corporation (CEO & President, Mr. Takahisa Takahara) subsidiary in Thailand, Uni.Charm (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter as UCT) announced that the company has been awarded the Gold Star Award for two consecutive years by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) for outstanding performance in environmental governance.

The IEAT’s Gold Star Award is also known as the Environment and Safety Good Governance award. Amongst the 29 awarded companies, UCT is the sole company to receive this award in Wellgrow Industrial Estate.

This award is administered by the Thailand Industrial Estate Authority and is based on an evaluation of five criteria, including environmental, economic, and social performance. In order to receive the Gold Star Award, a company must receive the Green Star Award for six consecutive years.

UCT cleared this requirement and was highly evaluated for its contribution to the local community and the solid trust it has built with the local community through steady activities based on the principle of coexistence and co-prosperity. Coexistence with the natural environment is essential for us to sustainably provide our products and services. We will continue to steadily implement the Kyo-sei Life Vision 2030 with the aim of realizing a cohesive society.
