Unicharm Corporation(HQ: Tokyo, Japan; CEO & President: Mr. Takahisa Takahara) was chosen in the stock composites of “SOMPO Sustainability Index” instituted by SOMPO Asset Management Co., Ltd., for 10 consecutive years in appreciation of its initiatives toward ESG.
“SOMPO Sustainable Investment” is an investment product designed for pension funds and corporate investors who extensively invest in the companies whose ESG activities(environment, social and governance), launched in August 2012, are highly valued. SOMPO Asset Management aims to invest with the long-term view based on the “SOMPO Sustainability Index”, its own and unique active index structured by approximately 300 stock composites whose initiatives toward ESG are recognized to be outstanding. This index is reviewed in accordance with the results* of ESG annual survey.
